  1. A 1 litre bike engine would be even more fun. It needs a support for the output shaft and a differential but the revs and sequential gears are amazing to use.

  2. There’s another important factor. Hummer stacks rectangular packs of battery cells into a frame. If one gets overheated it’s game over. Tesla 4680 cells are designed to burn down and out of the pack. IF any ever overheat. They can’t trigger thermal runaway in adjacent cells.

  3. What about the (silly name) Liquid Piston engine. It swaps the oval and tricorn shapes with a triangular stator and flat oval rotor becoming properly efficient and powerful with the same benefits as the Wankel.

  4. The sad fact is that while Toyota "was" capable of moving fast, today they most certainly cannot. Tesla is eating their business yet Toyota refuses to consider electric cars. Keep going like this and there won't be a Toyota.

  5. Jaguar electrics (like every other British car) were supplied by Lucas. The infamous "Joe Lucas the prince of darkness". Nobody considered finding a supplier of reliable equipment. Who knows why.

  6. The Saab 900 was built by engineers and appreciated by engineers. But it failed financially. Something that Tesla most certainly is not doing. So many folks want a Tesla that the company can't keep up with the demand.
