  1. Relying on any autocratic oligarchy for 50% of your energy via fixed services that they control is asking for trouble. The question is not that Germany is suffering now. It’s that Germany was not held to ransom long ago. Nuclear power is cheap. Nuclear power is the safest energy source Nuclear power is reliable. New nuclear even has the technology to solve the waste issue. There’s a huge energy source sitting right there. No new mining and no expensive fuel rod manufacturing.
