Oh don’t be silly. French hens can hardly fly.

She must have appreciated her own hazardous situation, yet failed to escape while the going was good. Not the brightest spark.
14
Russia is said to have run a proxy war in Donbas. In reality their mercenaries walked in but Ukraine held them at bay.
13
Biden is probing to be no better than Trump. The latter is more obnoxious but his policies on Ukraine are much the same.

@mufinsp0 probably a slip of the “pen”. Mariupol was the second-largest city in Donetsk Oblast, with an estimated population of 425,000 people in January 2022. Today it’s rubble. Surviving women and children stolen, men forced to die in pointless meat wave attacks. Russia has already covered up its atrocities.
7
Russian GDP has held up but the only growth area is manufacturing of w@r materiel. That’s a huge money out that delivers nothing of value to the economy. Russian economy outside the military complex has crashed.
5
Russia blew the Nordstream pipelines (1) They gas continued flowing when automatic shutoff valves should have immediately stopped the gas. They had to be rigged open. (2) They left one line usable and to rub it in, that was a Nordstream 2. (3) We have images of the ruptured pipes clearly blown from the inside. Only Russia could have done that.
5
Peace talks right now with Russia are the worst possible outcome for Ukraine. Putin would demand ownership of territory he’s already taken. He would the regroup reset his equipment and kick off another war. Putin has to be pushed out entirely.
3
Russia was flaring gas from its wells but Germany can’t see the flames. Gas pipelines have automatic shut off valves at both ends. Nordstream was ruptured yet the inlet valves remained open. These are controlled by Russia. The massive gas leak is a huge middle finger to Germany and EU. You won’t let us have Ukraine so we won’t let you have our gas.
3
Putin is very good at shifting blame. The new all powerful general, is there to take the blame for failure in Ukraine.
2
Poland has sent more per capita than anyone else. They must be close to having nothing left they can send.
2
@perfredelius Destroy the dam to upset Ukraine and temporarily prevent them crossing Dnipro. Against washing away your own disposable troops (tanks etc were told to pull out) and cutting off all water supplies to Crimea. Oh wait - that wasn’t a dilemma. It was just plain stupid.
2
Russia will not get close to inventing anti-drone drones. They can bolt sheet metal to old tanks and they can mass produce simple drones. Shaheed is little more than a slow flying WW2 V1. Lancet is sharp but they all have the same radio algorithm that Ukraine cracked almost immediately.
2
The political pygmies in Biden’s administration need to be shaken out of their stupor. They are at best useful idiots for Putin/Russia. At worst they are allowing him to win his filthy war.
2
Putin has not stopped his mobilisation. It’s slows a bit so he’s using electronic call up papers.
2
Putin is using Belarus and Wagner to needle Poland. If Poland reacts, EU and NATO will let them take the hits on their own. Poland knows this is a trap, they’ll not be walking into.
2
Russia could have won if its blitzkrieg had been don (a) at the right time, (b) properly organised and (c) properly fed and supported (d) has equipment that can do the job. Russia failed at every level. It’s rapidly running out of equipment, ammunition and soldiers. It’s a failure.
2
After the collapse of Soviet Russia, Europe and especially UK could not wait to dismantle their military forces. Putin came on the scene 25 years ago and everyone chose to believe he was not going to be another Soviet leader. Of course he is not another Soviet. He is MANY times Worse and that was ignored. Article 5 is also a paper tiger. NATO will dither. There will be no unanimity.
1
US presidents have always found ways to bypass congress. It’s not like the stuff** actually sent to Ukraine is high value. Most of it was slated for disposal. ** except Patriot and a few anti tank GMs.

Hopefully Anders can illuminate some truth about the right wing winning elections across Europe. I don’t believe the media invective that it’s all a political danger. However, what does he think about the fight against Russia? Hopefully, Austria is an outlier. I believe genuine Right Wing would ensure that Putin gets thrown out. Am I deluded?
1
Russia has a tremendous demographic problem. Most people stopped having children 20 to 40 years ago. This has resulted in a serious lack of people to run the country. It’s now into a second generation of nobody. The very people who would be fighting Putin’s wars were simply never born.
1
Anders, how dare you say the weather is not too good. Europe is supposed to be frying in runaway global warming. (Ignore that UK media is quoting ground temperatures when all records use air temperature taken in the shade.
1
The original Kersh Bridge hit was almost certainly not a truck bomb. The explosion enveloped the truck. It does not get instantly vaporised. Ukraine therefore had a weapon that could be used again. They knew Russia was looking for an excuse to stop the grain deal. So lets give them a reason that makes them look like toddlers throwing a tantrum. It’s worked superbly. It’s also made USA quickly send more SAM systems to protect Odessa. The destroyed church is bad but Russia now looks even worse on the world stage.
1
It might have been the same folks who embarrassingly failed to blow up an AWACS aircraft. But that does not explain why there were two men (firefighters?) on the roof or why the lights were switched off. The false flag rules don’t really fit the Nordstream bombings but the evidence is stacking up that Russia did it.
1
Nukes need tritium (a rate isotope of hydrogen) to boost the neutron flux and prime the explosion. It has a half life of 12.3 years so has to be regularly replaced. There are many ways for plutonium to degrade in storage. If not treated extremely well it will degrade and it won’t go critical when the bomb is triggered. Russia doesn’t do maintenance so don’t be surprised when their nukes don’t go nuke.

@benlotus2703 “They don’t like it up em” Cpl Jones Dads Army. Don’t tell ‘em Pike.
1
Ukraine is making every step Russia takes extremely expensive. Putin doesn’t care about Russian lives. But he will care about his bank accounts getting hammered by his inability to make gasoline, diesel fuel and LPG.
1
Meatsheimer ignored that Putin expected Ukraine to collapse due to poor leaders, poor equipment and compliant leaders that would simply stand aside. The latter delivered in the East and South. Everyone else had other ideas.
1
Moskva was built at in Mykolaiv Ukraine and her most recent refit was done at Mykolaiv in Ukraine. Russia does not have the facilities to run ships like this.
1
Russia wants Ukraine to become another Belarus.
1
The drone electronics should be fully encrypted so that no-one can reverse engineer their technology.
1
Russia cannot win - maybe. However, Russia can extend this war for a decade or more. Ukraine will grind down and eventually cease to exist and people outside Ukraine will get bored. Eventually, Russia will sneak in and take control. Biden’s ridiculous semi-appeasement is supporting Russia to do exactly that.
1
When the Shaheed drones first appeared, I suggested that FPV drones should be able to take out the propellers. Not ideal as the warhead will land somewhere.
1
I defer to Anders powerful experience but I do feel the most likely source of those Su-35 losses is Patriot. Its missiles go at mach 5 leaving Russian pilots no chance to escape. However three Russians were hit in one episode. Can patriot really do that without all three missiles going for one aircraft?
