  1. Russia deliberately razes every city they take. The people are killed in the least costly way. Subsequently it’s rebuilt in the dour Soviet style and repopulated with ethnic Russians. It’s cultural and physical genocide.

  2. Stalin did what Russia always does. Colonial assets are razed and ethnically exterminated. Ethnic (Muscovite) Russians are moved into a city totally unrecognisable from its pre war state. Stalin’s Holodomor was part of that policy. Mariupol is more of the same and shows that Russia has always been an extreme fascist construct.
