  1. Xenon and krypton are produced as byproducts in nuclear reactors. In traditional solid fuel systems they creat intense pressures inside the fuel pins. A big problem. Molten salt reactors allow these gasses to harmlessly escape the reactor core. They are collected for commercial use.
