  3. The first big gun ground attack anti ship aircraft was the Tsetse Mosquito. It carried a 6 pounder auto loading anti tank gun. Check out LindyBeige for an account of how good those guns were. One pilot took out a JU88 when a single round knocked an engine off the aircraft.

  4. The Tucano (which can be traced back to the WW2 P51 Mustang) is incredibly noisy. The enemy will hear them coming from miles away. But for tank busting that’s no problem and today’s tank busting missiles can be carried.
