This explains why the pretty young things hearing Abba for the first time are so shocked at the depth and quality of the work. Agnetha delivers Winner "takes It All" in one take with no edits, no autotune, no samples and they are (quite rightly) stunned by the quality of writing and performance.

It’s genuinely offensive that the PC crowd are allowed to steal my personal right to be offended or indeed not offended. I’m a grown up so it is none of their business.

I’m sure his friends were Thunderstruck but Nothing Else Matters on the Stairway to Heaven.

Weak minded and fascist. The worst possible.

Hopefully the new government will change the hate crime laws. They are pernicious and highly dangerous. They also allow dangerous ideologies to hide behind the law. Obviously I can’t give example but we all know who I’m thinking of.

Competitors at the Wuhan Military Games in October 2019 were going down with a “novel SARS” style virus. The Wuhan P4 lab was shut down for two whole weeks in the middle of October 2019. Now, why would you need to evacuate a secure(?) laboratory full of highly dangerous bugs?

“I have not forgiven myself for not being Beethoven” - Billy Joel. Part of Beethoven’s ‘Pathétique’ Sonata is used in 'This Night'.

“Mincemeat” fooled Hitler but lack of food and oil was a far bigger issue. The Axis didn’t have enough fuel for his tanks trucks trains and especially aircraft. Their bad quality fuel damaged many aircraft engines and reduced power for all of them.

Fast spectrum reactors like Moltex and Elysium do not need to reprocess their fuel. PWR reactors can extract less than 5% of their energy. The unused 95% explains why why the waste fuel has a 30,000 years half life. Every year of power generated by a PWR leaves another 24 years sitting in its waste fuel. Moltex are building a plant in Canada to be online before 2030. It will not use an ounce of new fuel and being such a simple design is not a large sized plant. Costs are low er than natural gas.

The German NAZI Party was hard left socialist. It’s in the name you can google translate it. They used central control by the government because the people must not be allowed to think for themselves. That allowed them to build a huge military regime and lock up or kill anyone who got in the way. Yes they were fascist. Stalin and the Russian Soviets were also of the hard left. This time however they made clear that all workers all get the same benefits (or lack of). They were also fascist. There is no functional difference between hard socialism and communism. Both use fascism to keep order and both led to the deaths of millions world wide. The books by George Orwell - “1984” and “Animal Farm should be on the school curriculum and their implications studied in detail.

Everyone should know that 42 is the answer to the ultimate question.

The disastrous 2020 is entirely man made. China accidentally released a virus they had been playing with inside a not very well run laboratory. The world hyper-reacted because nobody knew what it could do. Now it's known to be nasty but not THAT bad the governments wont admit they over reacted.

Look at Ian Scott's https://www.moltexenergy.com They are building a plant in Canada which will burn the waste fuel removed from the PWR next door. Their next design will burn uranium because we have more than enough. Thorium is great but it's well outside anything the nuclear regulators have allowed to date so progress will be slow. Not because it's dangerous but because there are no safety protocols. The issues are entirely regulatory. Moltex avoids the big issues with molten salts by designing out everything they can which needs regulatory oversight. Fuel salt is held in vented fuel tubes no fuel pumping or internal pressure. The core is fast spectrum so no carbon moderator and gives full burnup of the long life actinides.
2
Moltex and Elysium have small modular nuclear reactors that will burn waste nuclear fuel. That “waste” fuel retains 95% of its energy. At least 24 times as much power is sitting in the waste fuel ponds than was ever delivered as useful power. A 1200 MW PWR reactor has enough used fuel to feed a Moltex for 600 years. Or more usefully 10 same size reactors for 60 years. Moltex and Elysium reactors are small and intrinsically safe. have been fully costed as cheaper than natural gas powered plant. Moltex is building one in Canada right now.

Time runs slower the faster you travel. Time stops at light speed which means a photon has no life. From their point of view, they arrive the moment they left their source.

The delay caused by speed of sound (almost) never applies to Hollywood. Their bangs always happen at the exact same time as the flash. So annoying, because a delay actually adds to the drama effect.

@morgangrey4020 India is still pushing onto Asia, generating the Himalayan mountains and the Tibetan plateau beyond. But the mountains have long since reached their peak height. As India continues moving north, the Tibet plateau spreads but gets to taller. Additionally the weight of the mountains creates a root extending down into the planet. Physics says the hills can't go any higher.

Hey folks Let's build a stone circle that lines up with the midsummer sun. What on earth for? Because it will totally P off the future clever gits. They'll be arguing about it for centuries.

LFP is extremely safe and reliable. A recent development using manganese has the same storage per mass as ternary cell lithium batteries. Neither of them use cobalt or nickel. By the way lithium is not rare and it’s not a huge part of the battery.

Covid is unpleasant but it’s a long way from Disease C. Sadly the huge over-reaction to Covid means that people will ignore any quarantine rules until it’s too late.

Mincemeat was a clever deception that fooled Hitler. However, US General Mark W. Clark spent far too long establishing his beachhead, got himself boxed in and gave time for Germany to roll in some crack panzer divisions. Considering the Alps are in the way one wonders if at least some German generals took it with a pinch of salt.

The Etna caldera will not doom humanity, but it will affect the climate and it will make mess of our systems and many (MANY) people will die.

Totalitarianism. It always goes the same way.

Blaming mud and bad weather for the defeat of Bonaparte could only be suggested by the French, because his men were no more (and no less) affected than the British or the Prussians who fought against him. He also could not blame his 1812 defeat by the Russians on Tambora as that was three years too soon. The best that can be said is his timing was - a bit off. He should have arrived before the other armies had got together. Sorted.

They get offended to shut down conversations on subjects they don't like. It's a normal human trait but they abuse it. For example: When I was a child, an elderly neighbour who had fought in WW1 married a lovely German lady. She made her home here and was naturalised British. She simply could never accept the horrors done by her compatriots under Hitler's rule. She was never able to accept that her people could do such things.

Heavy elements migrated down while the earth formed. It’s nuclear fission which powers our plate tectonics and magnetic field. Venus is closer to the sun so has even more fission and far too many volcanoes for life. Mars is too far out so does not have enough fission. It went cold billions of years ago.

Anything which is idle for 80% of the time and only works when "it" feels like it cannot be economically viable. Wind power and solar have their place but regardless of what Greta says, they cannot deliver reliable base load power. They need the nasty fossil plants to fill the gaps. More importantly, load following means operating wastefully so the fuel burn goes up.

Olympus Mons is tall because Mars gravity is about 40% of that on earth. 2.5 x 0.4 is funnily enough about the same as Mauna Kea. Also the whole of Mars geothermal energy went into just one big hill which then fizzled out. On earth it's spread around the globe. Earth has just enough internal heat generated by nuclear reactions from heavy radioactive elements. Mars had far less so it stopped early in the planet's existence. Venus has too much so it's turned the whole planet into one volcano.

In spite of evidence that vitamin D has no upper dose level, the Medical system says that 600 IU of vitamin D is enough. However, there is a mass of evidence that we should be getting 5000 IU. Healthy high levels of vitamin D keep the immune system working properly. Dark skinned people living in northern climes make a lot less so it’s no surprise that CV has a harder effect on them than on light skinned people. Older people don’t go out in the sun - scared of skin cancer just not very well etc etc No surprises their already reduced ability to fight disease is further compromised.

@Bantallas His power sockets are safe because he’s put a plug into every one of them.
