  1. It’s not got a clunky engine with gears & clutch. So why is scrapping the clunky engine controls such an issue? I drive an automatic Merc van for work I really hate the RH stalk control for forward reverse and park. It also has neutral that’s near impossible to select it’s also ridiculously slow. Right turns at a T junction are a lottery. Press the accelerator - nothing happens then if jerks away and accelerates faster than you need. Mean whirl cars that were miles away are now having to brake because your Merc faffed about for so long. Simply horrible.

  4.  @G82Watts  Tesla already said their mission is to move everyone to electric cars. Part of that is cheap cars most people can afford. They are competing with the whole legacy industry not just the fancy names.
