  3. I would love to know why the British joined into WW1. What did they have to gain? Why not do their normal methods- let opponents bankrupt themselves then buy up their assets. Why did they change the habits that made them so powerful?

  4. The Poles worked out how the Enigma machines worked. The British far more importantly worked out how they were used. The British broke the Enigma code. The British built the first programmable electronic computer (colossus). For a long time, USA especially its top admiral refused to believe the British code breaker information.

  5. Hitler could’ve taken the Russian steps all the way down to Stalingrad, including all of Ukraine simply because the people absolutely hated Stalin. They detested him because of his purges and his famines. However Hitler considered they were sub-human and treated them such. So the people stayed with the devil they know. If Hitler hadn’t been such an idiotic racist, he might well have been able to keep those big areas in his empire.
