  2. The pre 1917 borders are not ideal. Ukraine borders reached the River Don and around the whole Sea of Azov. Poland hardly existed. East Germany was not Russian. Neither was any of Hungaria or Czechs or the Slovaks. Albania and Romania were not part of Tzarist Russia.
