  1. I had a Fist Seicento 900cc 40 bhp. It should be slow. But this was pathetically slow and not especially good on fuel. Then my work changed so I was doing more miles often on fast roads. It felt like purgatory. The. I noticed fuel consumption improving. After a month of this the car was nipping along nicely. One job put me on the M6 between Stoke and Manchester every day. They drive like nutters. The little Fiat was literally flat out but still giving 55mpg. Moral - use your engine properly. Flat out is usually not good but that little Fiat turned out to be a great car in the end.
