  1. Moltex completely avoid the issues with fuel reprocessing by not changing the isotope content of spent fuel. They chemically change it from a ceramic to a salt. This allows the whole fuel to be used as a liquid in a simple reactor that has no moving parts. They use 99% of the spent fuel. The 1% has a 1/2 life of 30 years vs 30,000 years for PWR spent fuel (mix it otherwise).
