To keep costs down, Ford is unlikely to fit big enough batteries. The huge weight will work the batteries very hard. Look forward to recalls and fires when cells fail prematurely.

Japan said it’s “stepping back” from nuclear power. However they also have plans to use hydrogen generated by its many nuclear reactors. Toyota or Honda would have us believe it’s zero emissions but they gloss-over the realities

CTs will have already had numerous factory crash tests. Failing official regulatory tests would be embarrassing but fixing late stage design faults is incredibly expensive.

Any manufacturer will have already done it’s crash testing probably to a higher level than any regulatory standard. They cannot risk failing official tests as the costs to fix any issues would be horrendous.

Traditional truck users were asked about CyberTruck shortly after its launch. They liked it and all would consider buying. These folks are not as narrow-minded as Ford would like to think.

India makes sense in so many ways. How many who would baulk at a Chinese Tesla, would jump at an Indian Tesla?

It’s time car manufacturers used an electric transmission. No gearbox needed. Brakes would also be much smaller. A battery would act as peak power provider. Over time, increase the battery size and reduce engine size.

Stainless steel sounds like a good material for cars. But it’s not especially strong and it causes nasty electrolytic corrosion if any other metal comes into contact. Aluminium castings cannot be simply bolted to stainless or any other steel. Aluminium would have been a much better choice. 3mm ally is incredibly strong.
