  4. NATO is an alliance. Nothing more. If one (or two) members choose to get into a “squabble” others can choose to join in. But it’s not a NATO operation. The only likely NATO action would be via article 5 where a country gets invaded and everyone steps up to help.

The weapons cooking off in Beirut are Russian. The Syrian airbase is Russian. The Iranian missiles will use Russian technology.
