It’s a Manchester accent. (I think).

When I was a kid my elderly neighbour had fought in the British Trenches of WW1. After the war, he married a German lady who naturalised British. She refused her whole life to believe that her people could have committed the NAZI crimes

Elr James the original “World at War” was a huge undertaking but it did deliver the standard narratives. The economic reasons/necessity for Germany going East was never explained.

@Made_In_Heavenn There was no fundamental difference between the politics of Hitler and the Politics of Stalin. They were both hard statists who ruled a military command economy from the centre. They both had everything owned by the government and they both had a bogeyman to rail against. If Hitler had had the slightest bit of common sense he would have ignored Chamberlain's declaration of war and simply continued across the Steppe and into the Caucasus oil fields. But for that error of judgement by men who had to bee seen as all powerful, who knows how things would look now.

@ackchyualidealism2528 Corporatism is being practiced loud and clear by the Big Tech media giants. You can say what you like as long as it’s not what they don’t want discussed. It’s Newspeak by another means.
5
Haters hate Tik because he proves there was no fundamental difference between Stalin and Hitler.
5
World War 2 seriously damaged the Soviets. But Stalin’s pre-war purges gave Hitler a fantastic head start. As TIK says, if Hitler had supported the Russian peasants they’d have happily helped him destroy the Red Army. They absolutely hated Stalin for his purges and famines.
4
The usual suspects got triggered when TIK said that Hitler was a hard socialist. However the evidence shows that Hitler was actually far closer to Stalin than he was any other dictator. As were Mussolini and Franco.
4
This is why the WW2 Churchill tanks was so liked by its crews and the infantry. It was slow but could climb hills that defeat other tanks and proved the duality of infantry supporting tanks and vice-versa.
4
Nazis were anti-communist because they were competition. Changing the party name to national socialist was a means of hiding their true aims.
4
Communism has always been close to the surface throughout Europe. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Franco, et al were all totalitarian run from the centre statist socialist systems. They were all fascist or communist with no functional differences between any of them.
3
The Left use insults and cancellations because they incapable of debate and have no arguments that do not contradict themselves.
3
The Nazis hated the Jews but also despised the Christian religion. Until the Vatican stepped in to help war criminals and mass murderers escape trial and retribution.
3
I like the look & feel of this production. I don’t see animations adding much value.
3
Philosophy is only nonsense when it’s used to support idiotic theories by the likes of Hegel and before him Oliver Cromwell. The latter kicked off with obviously broken religious babble and people soon tired of his idiocy.
3
@aleksazunjic9672 TIK is telling us that command economics always fails in the end. Nazi Germany got the worst of all options. Existing capitalists systems messed up by distorted economic thinking and demands from the top. Russia had no existing systems so built its war machine from the top down. When the war ended they had to start all over again despite having won.
3
The Dresden firestorm was a demonstration to Stalin of what The Allies were capable of.
3
Sounds like football fans will not be fighting each other. We have moved on since the 1970s. Though clearly our ruling class has not.
3
The Allies (ie British) mistake in 1940 was expecting the French generals to be up to the job. They clearly were not so why the heck did Chamberlain declare war? Absolutely stupid. He could not make it stick and Hitler knew that.
2
Fash and Coms gated each other because their theologies were fighting for the same audience. Both grew from the nutterism of Marx.
2
Don’t knock the British equipment. It was good enough. Better to have lots of cheapo guns made on Brummie back streets than not enough super duper top class kit made on posh Brummie back streets.
2
To paraphrase Black Adder - “It doesn’t work because it’s all bollox.” The irony being the writer is (was anyway) a hard socialist.
2
Trees falling in a forest create vibrations. Those are very much sounds. If there was no noise the crash would not send every bird & animal scurrying to safety.
2
The British Six Pounder Anti Tank gun was an incredibly good weapon. The two pounder was pretty much obsolete the moment it went into production.
2
TIK has already said that his specialty is the European side of between wars and WW2. There are others covering the Far East.
2
National Socialism was communism by another name. They all need a bogeyman. The NAZIs went against Jews in order to get against capitalism. Stalin cut out the middleman and went directly against capitalism.
2
@Edax_Royeaux Germany was still making cosmetics in 1944. U.K. went to a full war economy in 1940.
2
@pineapplethief4418 British tanks were crap right up to the Churchill. It failed at Dieppe but no tank can cross a steep shingle beach. It was an extremely effective infantry support tank. That with anti tank guns (from Six Pounder upwards) and dominant air power, the British could push the Germans back.
2
It all depends which side has the biggest pile of men/equipment/resources.
2
Exactly the same with Communists. The only differences was belonging to the Motherland or the Fatherland.

Wikipedia is edited by anyone. So no surprises it parrots the popular narrative. Check out any controversial subject.

Sometimes things just take longer.
2
I argue that Britain should have kept out of WW1. The British had a powerful navy but a surprisingly weak army. How the government of the day thought Britain had anything to gain from propping up France is anyone’s guess.
2
All Chamberlain had to do was build a powerful army and airforce. U.K. got shafted in 1940 because our stick was not big enough.
2
To be fair the lies pushed by mainstream media are easy to debunk. The recent BBC woke activist interview with Elon Musk is a perfect case in point. Elon seriously pulled his punches but easily ripped him a new one.
2
Climate change is a fact shown in the Greenland ice cores. The world has a 500 years cycle from peak cold to peak warm. The shout that CO2 causes climate change is one of the tools used by the fascists who rule the world today. It’s not easily possible to prove it wrong so they use it to control the people. WEF is a cult. Woke is a diffuse cult. Be nice be kind only apply when you use the approved versions.

Despite having the P47 Thunderbolt, Eighth Airforce generals did their best to avoid using fighter escorts Once they did (after P51and drop tanks were brought in) the Luftwaffe was rapidly depleted.
1
Some people fully understand what you actually mean but it goes against their personal narrative so they reject it out of hand. They can’t accept your points, because they expose the inbuilt contradictions of their narratives.
1
@rembrandt2323 Hitler and Nazism happened in Germany because of a certain set of economic events. Had similar events happened elsewhere the same day stems would have taken hold.
1
Rail sleepers (ties) (and telegraph poles) were timber impregnated with coal tar. If the coal can’t be moved they can’t treat the timber so they can’t make sleepers and poles.

YouTube is the place to be - for now. Check out another YouTuber “combat veteran reacts“. Can’t say any more.

There is no fundamental difference between Fasism and Communism. They are both extreme examples of state socialist control over every aspect of the people’s lives. Fascism is a statist system that’s all about central control. The Nazis wanted all means of production and wealth to be put under state control. The Jews were generally commercially successful so made the perfect scapegoats. Stalin didn’t bother with a middleman. He simply stamped out anything and anyone that might oppose his rule.
1
Elsewhere, TIK’s exposes the similarities between today’s Hard Left and Hitler’s Nazis. Here he exposes Allied incompetence. RAF and USAF basically wrecked the Market-Garden project by refusing to provide air support.
1
The Nazis used slave labour with Jews and Slavics at the top of the list. They were worked to death in the cruelest ways possible. After all why waste money on bullets when you can get useful stuff done. Anyone who could not work was disposed by the cheapest means - gas, bullets, whatever. Pol Pot did operated in the same by the way.
1
During WW1, U.K. went to a fully mobilised war economy along with rationing. It was therefore a given they’d do the same in 1940. U.K. also had a huge navy that (despite the U-Boats) kept Germany boxed up.
1
Nazis failed at Stalingrad because they treated Russian peasants like slaves. These people hated Stalin and would have supported Hitler but he gave them every reason to stay with the devil they knew.
1
Ferdinand Porsche would do anything to please the Big Guy. He knew the Maus was never going to work any more than Bismarck or any other battleship. Porsche also knew how to make money and what’s better than a huge never built before land battleship.
1
@haraldbredsdorff2699 Ignore the idiot who says your comments are personal. They most certainly are not.
1
Allies were technology superior. Programmable electronic computer Fastest twin engine aircraft Mosquito Best anti tank gun 6 pounder and 18 pounder Bouncing bomb Earthquake bomb Anti submarine weapons (that worked. The list goes on.
1
TIK discusses political history. He will therefore inflame the petty politicians from all sides. These folk will grab any excuse to claim he is wrong. “Quite” and “quite” are a great example even though one of them is derived from sarcasm. But to be fair “quite” will probably survive the double ungood language fascists.
