  1. Don’t knock the British equipment. It was good enough. Better to have lots of cheapo guns made on Brummie back streets than not enough super duper top class kit made on posh Brummie back streets.

  2. The British equipment was adequate as shown by the raid’s success. Elsewhere, the British also had excellent kit e.g. the Six Pounder anti tank guns.
