  1. Hitler’s biggest and most glaring mistake was turning west in 1940. He had no way of knowing Blitzkrieg would be so effective and he had chance of beating the British Navy. So simply ignore Chamberlain’s declaration of war. The French would have knuckled down behind their Maginot Line. Leaving Germany free to take the Russian Steppe and the Caucasus oilfields.
