  1. Communism has always been close to the surface throughout Europe. Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Franco, et al were all totalitarian run from the centre statist socialist systems. They were all fascist or communist with no functional differences between any of them.

  2.  @rembrandt2323  Hitler and Nazism happened in Germany because of a certain set of economic events. Had similar events happened elsewhere the same day stems would have taken hold.

  3. The Naz were racist socialists who used the fight against certain races as the reason for stealing their assets in order to control every aspects of the economy. The communists were classist socialists who used the fight against anyone with assets to steal their property and thereby controlling every aspect of the economy. Hitler blamed the Jews for controlling wealth.via capitalism. Stalin just cut out the middlemen and blamed everything on “decadent capitalists”.
