@Made_In_Heavenn There was no fundamental difference between the politics of Hitler and the Politics of Stalin. They were both hard statists who ruled a military command economy from the centre. They both had everything owned by the government and they both had a bogeyman to rail against. If Hitler had had the slightest bit of common sense he would have ignored Chamberlain's declaration of war and simply continued across the Steppe and into the Caucasus oil fields. But for that error of judgement by men who had to bee seen as all powerful, who knows how things would look now.

The Argentine Junta had no respect for the female British prime Minister. So they just invaded the Falklands. Hitler probably had much the attitude towards Chamberlain - silly man with his silly piece of paper we will show him who is the real boss in Europe. If Hitler had ignored him and continued his push into Russia who knows where we would be today. Unlikely to be a better place for sure.
