  3. BMW use a similar idea for a fuel tank level sensor. Reliability is abysmal due to broken circuit tracks. Apple use the same idea on MacBook disk drive cable. They fail internally due to heating cooling cycles. Plate heat exchangers were invented by Rolls-Royce. Very efficient in size terms when packed into multilayer blocks.
