  1. The frame in front of the AC box is the radiator support bracket. They are made of glass reinforced nylon supported by the front bumper beams. The rad bracket is rigid but not especially heavy.

  2.  @DavidHRyall  the US left British Empire in 1776. The British banned slavery in 1808 and gradually rolled back racism. The US did nothing until 1885 and then allowed apartheid to continue to the 1960s.

  3. European car design is controlled to a ridiculous level by the European Union. The result has been heavy ugly cars that all look the same and are so insulated that drivers have no concern for the risks they are taking.

  4. Check out the cars with water bottle next to the coolant, both with a blue cap. How often does wash water end up going into the radiator?
