Fiat use the plastic trunking over the 12V wiring. Their achilles that ends and branches are wrapped where heat shrink sleeve would be so much better.

I would like to see manufacturers using a hybrid of the Citroen hydro pneumatic system. It can power steering brakes and suspension ride height including body levelling and roll control. It can also power hydraulic door opening systems. The big win on brakes is the high line pressures allow smaller calipers and being mineral oil there is no fluid degradation. It’s a perfect system for EVs.

Fiats sold in U.K. use a plug in connector on the clutch hydraulics. It’s great for installation and replacement as the lines are supplied filled with fluid. Very neat. However the aluminium connectors and internal stainless spring clips suffer electrolytic corrosion. They seize solid and rot eventually eats around the O ring seals. It’s a clutch, so no big deal but the whole line has to be scrapped. Brakes would need external O ring seals to keep corrosion out of the internal springs.
