  1. Plastics are made from oil. The most reliable way to recycle the stuff is to burn it and use the heat to make power. OMG what about the pollution? There would be none. All fuels need the appropriate boiler and shredded plastic is not different. It’s also very low carbon because the oil has already been used once so it’s us as fuel is displacing new fuel that would otherwise be needed.
