  1. Surovikin has done nothing to change Russia’s standard (and broken) method of conducting a war. The doctrine is waves of men or tanks against immovable defences. When they all get slaughtered just rinse and repeat. Surovkin simply put blockers behind the cannon fodder so they could not retreat. His approach with tanks was no different. He’s certainly no military genius. He’s not even fit to be a military janitor.
