  2. In U.K. the lowest spec gasoline is 95 RON. 97 and 99 are sold as premium fuels. There is a noticeable difference. My car on 95 feels like the exhaust is corked up. It would be hugely down on power at 87 RON. No surprise that US cars have such big engines.
