  1. “Lift & coast” in an EV means regen braking. So, how much kinetic energy does the Plaid put back into its battery? Tyres are the same so it should be able to do this at the same rate as power gets applied under acceleration. Tesla could fit smaller friction brakes and not compromise stopping ability at all. Less unsprung weight = better road handling.
