  1. Cars are ridiculously expensive so people rent them with a lease deal based on the ultimate resale value. When that resale value collapses, the car maker/bank takes the hit. When customers cancel the contract, the collapsed car value means car maker/bank takes the hit.

  2. Hopefully Tesla China can avoid the maws of CCP. At least the company has no Chinese ownership other than shares like anyone else.

  3. Anyone buying a new engine powered car needs to check their brains. Get a Tesla it will at least hold its value. May well gain value.
