  1. Blue collar does not automatically mean hard physical labour. Stone masonry is physically hard. Bricklaying is boring. Other jobs like plumber, electrician, HVAC, joiner are not heavy duty. I had a bulged disc at age 42 looking at pictures in my 20s my posture and side lean showed it was already there. My work was technical white collar. A chiropractor helped me recover. A good one in my 20s would have spotted the impending problem and helped me avoid the inevitable decline that eventually blew the disc.
