  1. When David was growing up, upward social mobility was possible and doable via the Grammar School system. Those of us with vocational abilities went to Secondary Modern. Labour could have the working class being bled away so invented the Comprehensive Schools. Everyone was brought to the lowest common denominator.

  2. We can’t have the working class getting educated. They might start to think for themselves. Far better to keep them uneducated so they keep voting correctly.
