Immigrants generally take the low paid jobs. The Left like to keep these people down because they need to maintain the Us against Them narrative. As people move up, they realise they've been duped but no worries more will be along to fill the low wage jobs.

@alanjackson4646 Fracking happens thousands of feet below any ground water deposits. It only affects ground water when the wells are badly cased - bad workmanship. BTW, a failed casing caused the Deep Water Horizon disaster also shoddy workmanship. But we don't need fracking for gas or oil when we have molten salt nuclear reactors. These are intrinsically safe allowing the plant to be built at low cost and undercut coal on costs per megawatt. They can also burn thorium, a far more abundant and less harmful fuel than natural uranium. Molten salts are hot enough to desalinate sea water or provide heat for chemical processes such as ammonia and methanol production. The old and phenominally expensive (yet still risky PWR) is not hot enough to do any of that.
