  1. Everyone says the DB600 engines had “direct injection”. What does that mean? Is fuel injected “directly” into the inlet ports or “directly” into the cylinders. It’s an important difference.

  2. Wankel made a fundamental error. If his stator had been a tricorn shape and rotor and oval the tip seals would be static and a spark plug at each corners solves the flame quench issues. Sadly nobody (of note) has considered this change.
