This is the extremely annoying habit of "covering the brake pedal". Their speed rises and falls for no real reason and their brake lights flash randomly, because they keep touching the pedal.

Tesla cars have the longest time/distance between crashes of any other cars on the road. And they can prove it with their continually recorded data. In terms of crashes per thousands of miles, Teslas on "AutoPilot" are 7 times safer than human drivers.

DRL lights should not be close to headlights or indicators but tell that to the car stylists.

If you have hydraulic brakes it should be easy to plumb in a pressure switch. The snag will be small hydraulic fittings compared to those used on motorbikes.

This exactly what EU regulations now require.

@Travisb238 No he is not. Any car suddenly slowing without showing brake lights is extremely dangerous. They cause traffic lines to bunch up, leading to rear end crashes further back.

The average driver wont have a clue what you are talking about. It's all about rate of deceleration.

Brake lights need to operate on a retardation rate commensurate with actually slowing the car more rapidly than engine braking alone. EU regulators with their love of micromanaging everything say the following - ≤ 0,7 m/s2 The (brake lights) signal shall not be generated > 0,7 m/s2 and ≤ 1,3 m/s2 The signal may be generated > 1,3 m/s2 The signal shall be generated Well done EU on this one. It solves the fake braking beloved of older Smart Alec drivers and the non lighting of brake lights when regen braking is working.

Turn signals tell you the bulb works. They can't be trusted so always assume the other driver is out to get you and all will be well. If it's school start or throwing out time, park up and wait as the yummy mummies are driving nightmares.
