  1. Here in the USofA freight is where the money is and passenger service became a loser in the 1950s as air travel became faster and cheaper. My understanding is that on the East Coast passenger service is well served by Amtrak (Government entity). For long distance travel like Chicago to cities out west, Amtrak passenger service is below that of any modern rail system.

  2. I’m seeing large tracts of land being cleared to build new Flying J and Pilot truck stops near interstate exits. Gotta do something with all that profit.
