  1. I’m thinking that Russia put up an incredible and valiant fight against Germany. They suffered millions of casualties and much destruction of industry in the homeland. The US ability to produce weapons and deliver them was unhindered. If technology to develop nuclear weapons, radar and jet propulsion hadn’t been given to Russia by the Rosenbergs the war with the US wouldn’t have lasted. Of course we thought the war with Afghanistan wouldn’t last twenty years. Just in case you forgot, Russia was in Afghanistan from 1979-1989.
