  4. I was in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. At the base I was at in 1966 a married Airmen got a successful discharge on the grounds he couldn’t live with a family on the $400 per month pay he received. He was successfully discharged, although he may have had to serve the balance of his enlistment in the Air National Guard. A year later at a radar site I was stationed at an Airman was successfully discharged because he was a sleepwalker. I doubt any of this would have been a reason for discharge from the Army at that time.
