Germany had the edge in technology going into WW2. When the killing started on the Eastern Front and the Russian winter arrived, Russians were fighting for their survival as a nation. My understanding is that Hitler was calling the shots on how and where the war was to be fought. All that technology and German manpower wasted to the incompetence of a Dictatorship?
