  1. ​ @mikelemoine4267 😁👍👏👏👏👏 Plus you are allowed to carry in your handbag, perfume, and hairspray, ( very nasty if it gets in your eyes ! ) nail scissors, a metal nail file, and a sharp toothed comb, ditto. Dare I suggest that you carry a shopping bag when shopping that already contains some spray cleaners, to hand or at least some cans in the bottom. We just need to be creative, and know what we're not allowed to carry to keep us out of trouble.My father for instance, after being attacked in his hometown of Dublin, carried a palm width of matching coins tied together like a sweet, in a handkerchief to carry in his fist, which could be dismantled quickly and become just an innocuous bit of change in his pocket. I've even defended myself from attack in my younger days by grabbing a large stone from a front garden. I am old and disabled now, but I walk with a cane, with a metal bird handle with a nice pointy beak, and I take note of what's around me, ( there could be something useful in the scene around you, like a garden spade, a tool some workman has left etc) Since we Brits can no longer carry a sword, perhaps walking canes should become fashionable again, not just for us old cripples !
