  19. Surely from a psychological point of view, banter is a release valve for frustration and therefore actually a preventative to violence ? When women are angry with their man they vent to friends and joke about the violence theyd like to do but have no intention of actually doing and its the same for men. It is harmless and necessary in my opinion and should not be censored or frustration will build up to pressure cooker levels which is far more damaging than a bit of banter. Ive heard men tell off their mates for being an objectionable pest to women, its not something that needs to be mandated, most men are pretty decent, and the same token a lot of women will call out nasty gossips when it gets vicious. All this virtue signalling will do is drive a wedge between the sexes and looking at the way the world is going that seems to be the aim. Mature women are not delicate little flowers, we are not afraid of the male stare or catcalling, in fact some women enjoy it as flattery, you only have to look at Tiktocker women in gyms ( under ) dressed to be noticed, while feigning offence, to see the hypocrisy espoused these days. This kind of wokery is far more damaging and disruptive to society than any " harmful" words.
