  2. Once they had established that it was not a weapon, they didn't need his I.D. and should have let him go. Definitely an abuse of power! Not only that but stupid ego trips by cops like this choke up the courts where REAL crimes need to be judged. Or is this a concerted effort to discourage the populace from exercising their constitutional rights. Both of them should have been fired.
