If this and others like are " made for the modern audience" then one can only conclude that they have the shortest attention span ever than the rest of humanity, have no interest in the inner workings of human beings other than their looks, can fall in love or hate in five minutes without any sign of its inspiration, and have very little substance. With Star Wars, we were at the very least, interested in the characters, from the beginning, if not hoping they wouldnt die, and a little bit in love with them by the end, but this bunch were so one dimensional they may have well have been cardboard cut-outs. The only one who seem to have any depth was Kai, the betrayer played by Charlie Hunnam, who was great in Sons of Anarchy, but they soon killed him of, along with my interest.
