I wondered the same thing, but he also mentioned it was weapons grade, and we are talking about a country that dumps the contents of a nuclear incident overboard, so who knows. Still, worth researching why they’d need such refined fuel. My first guess would be they re-purposed a weapon.

I can just imagine the most popular reply from all the nautical geniuses thinking they’re so few and far between. This video almost made it seem like the Soviet Union was an efficient ship builder, entrepreneurial, innovative, and concerned with the capitalistic endeavors of ocean going trade, but I was snapped back into reality when they dumped the radioactive snafu container overboard. I can’t help but doubt they put anything radioactive in a sealed container of stainless steel and concrete; given their extensive background of countless environmental disasters, it seems much more realistic they just pumped it overboard.
