  1. Why would so many (if not all) democrats rally around the ‘group of eight’ and vote so comprehensively to remove McCarthy? What if the replacement makes legislating by the democrats more difficult, or makes thing harder for the democrat party in general, and even more difficult for the administration specifically? The ‘devil you know being better than the devil you don’t’ argument?
