Just dropped my ballot off, all blue + pro-renter, pro-educational initiatives at the city, county, and state levels. Researched all my local judges too.

I don't know whether or not Tim & Co. realize that many (most?) of the audience here are Democrats who prefer a more measured alternative to Democrat-oriented media that is very breathless and treats every miniscule development of every hour as the biggest story ever (not naming names).

I wonder what his Meemaw would say!

@chetcalhoun613 Vance's plan seems to be outliving Trump.

Right, calmer. Not treating every development of every hour as the biggest story ever.

@lonpollard902 As a YouTube creator, I can tell you that this random disappearance is due to random malfunctions in YouTube's comment algorithm and nobody is happy about it. If you were shadowbanned, none of your comments would show up. If you set off trigger words for the channel, they'd be really obvious to you what they were.

@Westernwilson Nah, Pollievre is Newt Gingrich in a trucker costume.

@sunnymoondog I don't know where you get that impression. At my high school, the debate team was just any young guy who wanted to be a politician. Some were progressive. Some idolized William F. Buckley to the point of affecting a transatlantic accent and wearing a suit to school every day.

People thought he was dumb, but he was really just a coward, and that’s why you won’t hear from him.

@Bluemoon_75 From the outside looking in, the Liberal Party doesn't seem to have any real guiding vision except to uphold Canada's existing, actually quite conservative political order with a thin veneer of performative progressivism and protectionism. "Cheap grace," as Sarcasmitron called it.

@andybeans5790 The pity of Bilbo ruled the fate of men!

For the past month I’ve been imagining voice of Edward Teller (because of Oppenheimer) in the back of my head saying “you know, it’s possible that herding in the polls could be underestimating Harris” and I just tried to suppress it.

Oh, the parliamentary system is far preferable to ours. Don't take it for granted.

He's still on trial. He's fighting a war to avoid an election.

Trump isn’t nearly as charming as Steve-O.

@MillieMillieGoodDog Hitler greatly exaggerated Germany's economic challenges, particularly reparations. Germany fared far better after WWI than the other Central Powers and had already successfully renegotiated its reparations payments. Mind you, Germany's economic problems were bad, but they were still mischaracterized. Britain had most of the same problems as Germany by virtue of already being in economic doldrums in the 1920s and this didn't happen to them.

The Zionist movement began in the 1880s– it was a Jewish movement led by Jewish politicians; nothing to do with the UK until the First World War and nothing to do with the US at all– and there has been a continuous Jewish population going back to antiquity.

@Bluemoon_75 Trudeau did an excellent job of making sure there's no obvious successor, which demonstrates what his priorities were from the start.

Extremely online men under 30 are big into replenishing the Volk.

@robynnordstrom7799 This. They just see a Sigma Grindset.

Tim seems (understandably) even more upset than usual. Sending hugs.

Leftist from California who's never worked in political journalism– I've never heard of Byron York but I totally get Tim's joy. For anyone in a creative or academic background, that shit is universal. Nothing better than seeing an unscrupulous, bullying hack who's made your life miserable finally get exposed to the world and most of all to himself.

Also as a leftist, all of the gun-owners I know are further to the left than me. So "gun-owner" doesn't register to me as a centre/right thing.

@susanzemke6569 Nobody has been indicted under the Logan Act since the mid-19th century because there's a broad legal consensus that it's almost certainly a violation of the First Amendment. Nobody wants to be the prosecutor who brought a Logan Act case and immediately got the law voided by the Supreme Court.
