  3. Hebrew is weird like this too; literary Hebrew is a mix of VSO and SVO while vernacular Hebrew is mostly but not entirely SVO. And this stylistic distinction persists.

  13. Hebrew used to have the voiceless dental fricative, but lost it along with a whole bunch of other sounds (including a 7th and 8th vowel!) when it became a natively-spoken language again.
