@MrUlyseses That's not how the Germans saw it. While it is true that the Soviet Union had the larger army, took the larger casualties, and crossed more kilometers than the Western Allies, that's as much a function of geography as anything else. In 1943 Germany was pulling units away from the Eastern Front to fight the British and Americans in Italy, and that was even before Normandy.

@HENSIONAVDUli It’s like Historia Civilis said: “no country defeated Napoleon. Every country defeated Napoleon.” And of course the Russians then took Paris unilaterally in order to pretend that they had won on their own, which scared the British so much that they brought France back in as an ally.
