  6.  @grmpf  Yeah, as soon as I heard that this was about the UN "passing a law" I knew this was an American fundamentalist fantasy. The UN isn't a lawmaking body, it's a forum that can put together treaties, and signing onto one is entirely voluntary. But these people really want it to be a lawmaking body because that conforms to their religious teaching that the UN is a one-world government and thus the seat of the coming Antichrist (assuming that their particular theology doesn't just say that about Catholicism).
