It is is very difficult for man to realize, that some interactions with women , even some basic ones, are perceived by women as forced or even violent. This is in a large part a fault of women often being passive and just "going with the flow" instead establishing straight boundaries. They grossly misjudge men's sensitivity. In other situations they proffer not to react and keep the elevated male's trust, for ....reasons. This can really mess up the guys perception, he will insist in the version of reality he experienced. But well my friend, when it comes to the game of feelings and manipulation, women are playing on a whole another level. Doesn't matter, what you believe. You should know better.

@automatic5 Thank you for your generalization, all man are evil, all females are unconscious victims. keeping that in mind, I would agree with your if we was talking about people who barely met each other. Yes, he could misread her being nice with consent to take a step, but we are talking about someone who works together for years, they had thousands of occasions to establish what is their function in the relationship and what is not. You are entitled to your emotional opinion, even if you have no basic knowledge about what was going on, but at this stage only a jury and a judge can give any conclusion to this very particular case.
