Comments by "Piotr Misiuna" (@contemporiser) on "Russia local elections: Putin's party claims sweeping victory amid irregularity reports" video.
I know too many people who like what Putin does to blindly claim that it is impossible that his party could won elections. Maybe slight rigging improved their ranking, but for some reason (good or bad) they still have a lot power. Putin is a non nonsensical figure so far.

crooks and thiefs...you mean average politicians. Normal people work for their keep, deliver products of exchange, a politician talks.

@Polyglot_English I do. Ideas have no physical value until one use it against somebody. Big scary idea. You buy it?

@peabase I'm afraid in oligarchic environment one has to be a tough unethical beast, otherwise all that would change is just another Putin. Russian history is stuffed with that kind of leaders, that means, Russian would not buy anybody with open mind.

@peabase Everyone plays the game life deals to them. I don't believe changing guy with a mustache for someone else would end up WWII. What needs to happen is more even distribution of power. Until everything is just a question of price and someone has wallet thick enough, it can be sold. I know it is never simple, but try a simple rule, if your boss uses money in the way you don't like, give your time to someone else.

@command_unit7792 I cannot say I understand the people who choose that kind of leadership. I left my country for the same reason, I tried for years to influence my community to more participatory decision making, but they seam to enjoy the convenience of not having anything to say. Who am I to claim that everyone is wrong. For me nothing changed since 'socialism', methods and program is still the same, only a different few get rich his time than before.

@peabase I admit, I am a looser here. Just as good I can be a looser somewhere else. Since I'm a foreigner, local people have no reason to make my life acceptable, yet loosing here is way better than among my own people. I say once again, if your boss can't deliver, fire him. I release my government of duty, they will not work at this position for me anymore. Polish system is producing thousands if not millions such loosers every year. If you check the migration rate and suicides, Poland will stand somewhere on the top of the list. Not many would ask themselves 'why I should ever leave that place', more often it is futile struggle against fake obstacles created by elites to reinforce their position. Want to spend the entire life changing one thing that somewhere else is just a common sense? go on and never give up
