  1. Swedish lumber industry is downgrading. They can't compete price wise with south hemisphere, where forests can be grown 40 to 70% faster. That would be a race to the bottom. What they do is a focus on quality. You cannot achieve equal fiber density in a wood that grows so fast. It will be more expensive and the choice will depend on the application.
