@dchocolate2499 Question is how effective is your penal system and what is the meaning of it. Making someone suffer should not be the only aim of punishment. That would make us worse than the criminals themselves. The main aim for a good penal system is isolation and enabling socialization. Question is, can a total sociopath who after 30 yrs in prison still think about enjoyment killing babies can ever be re socialized. If we can't save him/her, how their death, life sentence would benefit the society. What about families of the victims, how they can live with this or other solution. Another question is weather there is no chance of the convict being exonerated after distribution of the punishment. Still yet, some individuals should be buried under the prisons sewer, just sayin.
